ARCTICHEAT ICE VESTS

It was evident on our recent tour to Beijing in China that the use of the Arcticheat Ice Vests will be vital to our preparation to win a medal at the Olympics. The heat and humidity in Beijing is beyond what I imagined and the feedback from various athletes who have been to Beijing to compete recently is that unless steps are taken to keep our core temperature down we will struggle in the heat and will not be able to perform at our optimum levels. The Hockeyroos used the vests both before and during the matches and I found them very beneficial in keeping my body cool whilst warming up in the heat and also when I was coming onto the bench after being substituted as soon as I put a vest on I felt my body begin to cool and therefore my recovery was quick and I was able to go back onto the pitch within 5 minutes. I know the Chinese athletes are also using the vests and feedback from them was also very positive. The thing I really like about the vests is that unlike previous ice vests, they are made to fit all body shapes and also fit very snug which makes it much more comfortable to warm up or work with the vests on. The reason I am writing this article is to make everyone aware of the benefits of using an ice vest, and not only for athletes but also for those people who may have jobs that have them working in the heat, for example a chef who is working in a hot kitchen all day and may at times get so hot that fatigue can set in earlier or even a worker who is out in the hot sun all day. If this is you and you are interested in learning more about how the vests might benefit you then please send me an email and I will direct your questions to Shane and Sue from Arcticheat who will be happy to help you out or let you trial a vest. Arcticheat really is a product I believe in and a product that can make your life much easier and more comfortable.
