Hi Everyone,

I hope you have all recovered from the festive season? Are you back into that health kick again and running off those extra Christmas pounds like I am currently doing? I know it hurts but think of how much better you feel for it!

To update you on my injury progress........Yippee I am cured from this niggling Groin injury that has plagued me for the past few months. I was instructed by my medical team to do no running, riding, leg weights etc etc since our tour to Europe in October, so that means nearly three months of low key activities. It was very difficult for me to endure so much down time as I could see the rest of the Hockeyroos Squad working hard on their pre season fitness and I was not allowed to do anything. Eventually I was given the clear by my physio to start running about 3 weeks ago and i must say I am back into my running program with a vengeance. Slowly but surely I am getting this old body back into some kind of decent shape and hopefully I won't be too far behind the rest of the team by the time we go to Perth late January to begin our Olympic preparations.

Thank you to everyone who wished me well during my injury, your support is always greatly appreciated. A very big thank you also to my wonderful partner Jenno, who has continued to support me, push me, guide me and love me through yet another tough time in my career. I am very lucky to have someone so caring and special and I am so grateful to have you by my side.
